STRIDE orthopaedics was established in 2020 by Dr Ramez Ailabouni (Orthopaedic Surgeon) and

Amelia Howard-Hill (Nurse Practitioner).

The founders were motivated to establish a private integrated Orthopaedic health service that utilises a nurse-led team-based approach, innovative care delivery, and cutting edge technologies.

The emphasis is on providing care that is both efficient and of the highest quality.

Although born elsewhere, the founders consider themselves to be Cantabrians and are passionate about Christchurch and all the city and region offers.  The founders are socially minded and to positively contribute to region’s health and quality of life through timely access to quality healthcare to relieve the discomfort and negative impact that orthopaedic conditions cause.

Specialist. Team-based. Respectful. Innovative. Dedicated. Empathetic.

Specialist

All our staff are highly qualified and respected specialists in their respective fields.  STRIDE Orthopaedics is exceptionally proud of our team and the expertise they bring to the various facets of orthopaedic care.

Team-Based

Our philosophy of care is team-based.  This means that patient care is provided by a team of specialists to ensure the best possible care.  We strive to provide holistic orthopaedic care that not only focuses on an alleviation of pain but also an improvement in overall health and quality of life.

Respectful

Mutual respect is the cornerstone of trusting professional relationships.  Therefore, all our interactions with patients, their family/whanau, colleagues and external health professionals will be respectful in nature and focused on fostering an environment that ensures the patient is at the centre of all care decisions.

Innovative

Sometimes doing things the way we have always done them is not what is most appropriate for an individual patient.  Furthermore, healthcare delivery is changing.  Technology has provided the opportunity to perform surgery in ways that are more precise, providing opportunities for better outcomes. Therefore, considering the best way to do something, trialling changes and monitoring outcomes can lead to positive changes to healthcare delivery.

Our team is dedicated to ensuring you receive the highest quality care for your orthopaedic problem.  We are motivated to stay abreast of the current trends in orthopaedic care so we can assist you to make the right choice for you.
